 Before I tell
my story, I'd like to thank Wayland and all the members of The Songwriter
Forums for the welcome you've extended me, and for allowing me to be a part
of such a great community. I'm honored and at the same time, humbled to be
in the presence of so many truly gifted people. I hope I'm able to
contribute something and live up to your expectations as a human being. If
ever I can be of help to anyone , in anyway ,please don't hesitate to ask.
I'll do my best to be a friend.
For a couple of days, I've been trying to figure out what to say in this
bio. I've been very fortunate through the years to have met and sometimes
played music with some very well known artists, as well as an uncountable
number of artists like myself. For twenty years I played music all over this
country and a few other countries as well. I've been a musician forty-one
years and wouldn't trade my talent, such as it is, for any other. Music is
my soul! When my children were born, I made a choice to forgo my career
until they were old enough to understand what I am and accept it. I've spent
the last seventeen years raising them. I wouldn't change a thing. Though I
never quit writing, playing, or trying to mature in my art, only in the last
six or seven months have I begun again to chase my dream. I started
something a long time ago and I intend to see it through. I don't care about
fame, it seems a bit overrated to me. Money is nice, but I've never had
much, so I don't miss it (though admittedly I'd like to have more of it).
What I do covet, is confirmation that I made the right choice. I can't stop
being what I am and I don't want to.
The past is just that, the past. I have some great memories of the old days,
but now I'm working to make new memories. This is my new career and I start
over here with all of you. If you need to know about my past, I'll be glad
to sit down anytime and tell stories that will probably make you wonder how
I survived this long. Some funny, some not. For now though, I give you this
as my bio.
I hope when you listen to my music you find something that touches you in
some way.
Peace, Ron |
