Joe and Peggy Attwood have been married since 1976. They share a
love for bluegrass music which allows them to travel and meet people
who share an appreciation for the "high lonesome sound" of bluegrass
music.
Joe and Peggy Attwood began playing bluegrass music together in
1982. Since that time, they have been members of four regional bands
in the NW Florida area performing their music in North Florida and
Alabama.
Peggy began song writing in 1999. She was influenced by the humble
life her Dad's family lived in North Louisiana during the Depression
and the cultural influences of the South, from her mother's family,
who lived in Charleston, SC and Winston-Salem, NC. Her song writing
is influenced by old time gospel, Celtic music, songs of the
Appalachian mountains, bluegrass, and the blues. Joe arranges,
performs, records, and produces their demos in their home studio in
Lynn Haven, Florida.
Peggy is a registered songwriter with BMI, NSAI and IBMA. She has
participated in song writer forums and has enjoyed the opportunity
to co-write. Years of attending and performing in bluegrass
festivals have given her an awareness of the richness of the history
behind bluegrass music and a vision for its future.
Joe and Peggy currently have 30 songs, vocals and instrumentals,
recorded and available for consideration for recording and
performing.
Please, register in the guest book. Inquiries for demo copies are
welcomed.
Thank you.
