I'm David Williams. I'm a 41 year
old music fan who enjoys music of all types. From country to heavy metal and
yes, even a little rap - just a little. I travel 1000-2000 miles a week as a
merchandiser/ sales rep for Trends International. Writing helps kill time
while I'm driving or in hotel rooms. I am also working on a Master's Degree
in Training and Development from Marshall University (where I got my
Bachelor's Degree). I'm not taking any classes this summer so I'm really
trying to write alot. Before I know it, it will be September and it will be
back to the grind of 50-60 hour work weeks (that I do now) plus 2 classes.
That won't leave much time for writing.
Currently, I am working on an acoustic rock project with Nigel Cuff. I
believe he is Nigel40 on here. Nigel is an extremely talented "demo man". I
honestly can't reccommend him enough. Nigel can be contacted at his website
at
www.nigelcuffmusic.com or at
nigel@nigelcuffmusic.com. He literally brings your music to life. He has
the best prices I've seen anywhere and his quality is outstanding. He'll
even write the music for you as well. Nigel is skilled in rock, pop, and
country. I'm hoping to do 10 songs with Nigel. We have a few right now.
The first song we did was "Just a Kiss." This was actually an old poem I
wrote a few years ago. Nigel brought it to life as an breezy Beatle-esque
type song. I like it although I don't feel it was my best writing effort.
Our second song is "Sexy Blues". A haunting acoustic blues song about a girl
from yesterday who haunts like an old blues song. The song is really a
personal song to me so obviously it means alot but because it's blue-ish,
it's not real commercial.
For our third song, I sent Nigel "Soul Kiss." I envisioned it as a "Pink
Floyd love song." What I got back was definetly a "Pink Floyd love song." Of
course, I'm a little close to the song but I feel it's a beautiful song that
has given me a sense of direction for this project. I can't thank Nigel
enough for the effort and hard work he put into the song. I feel like we
have really set the bar high for the rest of the project and can't wait to
see where it musically takes us. Nigel can definetly write a variety of
music styles. I believe the project actually starts with "Soul Kiss". |
