Hi! Welcome to my website. My name is David Lindsey. I live in Louisville, Kentucky, and I'm a member of the NSAI and BMI.

How do I go about explaining why I try to write country songs? It is hard to explain, it is just something I love to do. I guess it first started when I was around nine years old. My family was going somewhere in our '68 Chevy pickup when a song came on the radio. As I listened, I thought to myself, I would change "that" line to "this". I reckon that is how it started.

I like today's Country, but my love is more traditional - Hank Sr., George Jones, Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson. I like to write what I WANT to hear, not what radio wants to hear.

I hope you like the songs that are posted on my website. I'm no expert. I think I'm like most everyone else; I'm on a learning curve. The curve is life itself. In time, I will try to learn from each of you how to write the best song I can so that others may enjoy them also.
